I was going to write a more detailed account about my lovely flight from Utah to Poland, but that would take too much time/effort. So instead you get the somewhat short version that will probably make little sense. All you need to know is that it took forever.
Here it goes: Arrive at the airport at 5:45am. After over an hour of talking to the lady at check-in, we find out the team changed our itinerary and just never informed us. Rude. New flight doesn't leave until 11am. Flight #1 Salt Lake to Chicago.
Ava was my airplane buddy and fell asleep the last hour. Zoey's sick bag total: 1.
Eight hour layover in Chicago. Ridiculous. Thank goodness for the kids play area in the airport and Lesa's former soccer coach from the U for picking us up and taking us to dinner.
Flight #2 Chicago to Copenhagen. Yay for the kiddos sleeping almost the entire time. Zoey's sick bag total: 2. Run from one side of the airport to the other (passing an H&M on the way...seriously). Make it to our gate five minutes before boarding.
Flight #3 Copenhagen to Gdansk. Took only one hour. Zoey's sick bag total: 4.
After picking up all 9 of our bags and fitting everyone/everything into two taxi vans we made to Sopot, Poland. Hallelujah.
