New Zealand

Before I go to the beach in a few minutes, I'll post a few pictures from our first trip to Raglan on Saturday.
Pure bliss.

The End

I can't believe my Poland experience is already over.
I'm so glad I went.
Before I left, Lesa and I went shopping for Polish pottery and a few days later the entire family went to see the big  Christmas tree in Old Town Gdansk.

My outfits in Poland were mostly about comfort and warmth,  don't judge.

I miss these cute kids!

Thanksgiving

Living in Poland for a couple months has made me realize how blessed I am. I definitely have a lot to be thankful for this year. I'm especially grateful for my family. I missed being with them on Thanksgiving, but it was a great Thanksgiving with my Polish family. It actually felt like a normal Thanksgiving. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, homemade rolls, pumpkin pie, cookies, and all the other good stuff. Thanks for all the pictures Lesa! (I hope they show up this time)

Thursdays

Almost every Thursday I go out exploring with Sister Lewis from our branch. Last week we went to St. Mary's Church in Gdansk, the largest brick church in the world. We were going to climb to the top of the church, but it's pitch black by 4pm here and there wasn't much light left. So we just took pictures outside and walked around inside for a little bit. The inside was amazing with some really pretty stained glass windows. It's crazy how old some of the stuff is in there...and honestly some of it kind of freaks me out. Anyway, it was another fun Thursday in Poland!

The front entrance to the church (Sister Lewis is on the right in the blue scarf)

I don't know if that clock tower in the back is significant or not, but it looks cool.

Oh, and I rode the bus all by myself without getting lost or freaking out too much. Dobra!

Birthday

I'm officially 22. How did that happen? This was the first time I've had a birthday outside of Utah, and it was still a great day! The little girls made me birthday cards, we went to the aquarium, walked around the port in Gdnynia, and ate cupcakes.

Go Trefl!

Chris finally had some home games this week. They played on Wednesday and Saturday, winning both. I only managed to get one picture from each game. It's not easy to take a lot pictures when you are watching four kids and trying to keep them from dumping the bucket of popcorn on the people sitting in front of you. Maybe next time.

I look horrible in this picture, because I felt horrible. Just look at Beckham wearing his stylish headphones. Chris hates that all the kids wear them, but that arena gets extremely loud with the music, drums, horns, etc.

This is the only picture from the game on Saturday. At least it's a picture of Chris scoring.

A Slide

Last Saturday we took the girls to a park. Parks in Poland are a lot different (and harder to find) than they are in the states. Most parks here only have a slide. This is one of the biggest parks in the area...no joke. Not only does it have a slide, but it also has a merry-go-round, sand box, and rocking horse thing. Ha. Oh, and the house on the left is where we go to church.
